New Year!

Yes, I know that it has been two months since I have blogged and I apologize for the dry spell. NOt that there has been nothing to tell but my biggest problem has been I do not have any more space to put pictures on the blog. So, as I sit here in SAn Diego with Kelsey at my parents home I have decided to just write a bit about what has been going on... where do I begin?
We had a wonderful Christmas with Jamie & Conrad and the girls spending several nights with us. Seeing Kylie the morning of Christmas was one of the highlights. Kurt and Jen came over later that day and we exchanged our gifts. The grand darling are truly one of the bright spots in all of our lives.
Cara had a tubing accident in Rexburg which landed her at the hospital a few times. She has a concussion and a badly bruised tail bone. It was a devastating accident in a lot of ways (okay, that does sound a little theatrical but it felt that way for me.) She ended up missing her first week back at college, her college tennis life is in question and she continues to have headaches.
My Dad fell a few days after Christmas and ended up with a broken femur which resulted in a new hip. He has been battling a form of leukemia and was suppose to enter into the hospital on Jan. first for a spleenectomy. That has been postponed until mid-March so that we can get him stable. His white blood count is thru the roof, his platelets are very low and he has to receive double transfusions every seven to ten days. Kelsey has been down here for two weeks helping my parents and I'm so grateful that she has been able to do this for them. I came up on Tuesday of this week. Glad that I can share in this experience with my daughter.
We did have some fun today and I am bound and determined to figure out how to put pictures up tomorrow! The housing situation....is still a situation.
I probably should not post this as it does sound a little down and I am sorry for that.

Wow, Cathy, I didn't know you were dealing with so much. I really hope your loved ones will be doing better very soon. I know you always use humor and make the best of things though. Thinking of you and hope to see you soon.

Quite busy for you. Hopefully things will calm down here for awhile and you can find a place to call home.

Miss you here.

It sounds like you guys are incredibly busy! That's awesome that Kelsey is so willing to help and serve your parents. She is such an amazing girl! You guys are always in our thoughts and prayers.

P.S. If you want to post pictures and not use blogger, you can do it a few ways. Try using photobucket.com or else using Picasa Web Albums. If you use either of those, you just upload the pictures (like you do with Blogger) and the copy and paste the code into the blog post.
