Festival of Trees

Every ornament has to be glued then wired on the tree. Everything you see on the tree and around the tree goes with the bid! The bidding is tonight Wednesday, NOvember 30 and Rick and I will be there for the opening gala... It was cold in there!!! The doors were open so people could bring their trees in. Many had theirs already decorated and just wheeled them on. Many of the trees are dedicated to those who have passed away.
The designers of Jolly & Bright! The theme for our tree. Two new friends for me!!! one of the blessings of the project.

There are so many tree's at the South Town Expo. This is the first time I have done this. I went to the Festival of Trees years ago when I was maybe ten? This is the Festival's 40th year anniversary!

Rick sanded these letters and Jackie "bedazzled" them! I made the tree skirt and Dawn bought the orange shimmery fabric to hide the floor a little.

The finished product. I was there from ten to seven p.m. ONe long day and I'm glad I brought some snacks. We were so busy we had no lunch or real food until we got home! It was a fun & creative day and I would do it again!!! So many neat people that I was able to meet...so much creativity in one Expo Center!!!

I can see the tree better now than in your text and it looks even cooler! That sounds like a lot of fun and I'd love to go see all of the trees! I'm glad you did it!
