Pumpkin Bread

Here is the PumPkin Bread recipe that I have been using this fall. I have made two loaves already this week and they do not last long!
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/3 cup shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup pumpkin
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs and pumpkin. Add dry ingredients to moist mixture. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until the bread tests done. Makes one large loaf. Enjoy!

Thanks for the recipe- that sounds so yummy! It's too late tonight to bake some but I'm going to light my pumpkin candle...

Oh, Cathy!
I have already written this recipe down in my notebook and plan on making it this weekend. It's finally pumpkin season!
Things like pumpkin bread remind me of the seasonal decorations you put up in your house. It reminds me of the holidays...ah! Gotta love it.

Thanks for the recipe! Can't wait to try it.
