Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to all of our wonderful family and friends.
The girls and new jackets they received for Christmas.

Rick's gift from Jamie and Conrad. A year in review of our adorable Kylie's second year of life!
Rick gave our family the challenge to give homemade gifts this year to each other. The best gift to all of us was his Family Home Evening, hard bound book he put together for each of us. Another keepsake that we will all cherish. There are at least ten family home evening ideas with our Dad's personal testimony of each subject along with a treat idea for the evening. It is beautiful and very sentimental. There are pictures in it, as well

A family picture of the four of us. After we went to see Marley and Me! A must see but be sure to bring a tissue!

Merry Christmas 2008

Cara with her homemade gift from Kelsey. An adorable stool for college!
Our Christmas tradition of the yummy bundt butterscotch rolls. Lots of butter and brown sugar. Warm and gooey!

Cara wrapped Kelsey's present in the remainder of Kylie's "special princess paper".

Cara with her Santa gift. We were trying to be a complete "golfing" family but our reasonable daughter told me to take it back and save the money for her graduation present this spring.

Cathy and Rick in their Christmas reds! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Christmas eve traditions!

One of our traditions is to leave a gingerbread boy for Santa on our special plate that I bought years ago at a Christmas Craft show at the Puyallup Fairgrounds. Those from Washington will remember the show.
Another tradition is to receive new jammies on Christmas eve. I made some for Kylie with matching bottoms for her sweet Mom (my daughter, Jamie).

Kelsey and Cara with their new jammies on Christmas Eve. Of course they are matching! Cara just put on her black jacket (for warmth!)

The girl's with their "first" gift of Christmas~ready for their new jammies!

Christmas Eve Celebration

Here is an aerial shot of the Staples and Smith's. Thanks to one of the elders photographic skills.
Here is the four of us right before we went caroling to our neighbors. The temp's dropped almost thirty degree's from the afternoon~ice everywhere!!!

Cathy and Kelsey after our yummy Christmas Eve dinner. Kels worked until 5 at the mall. I'm very proud of the hard worker's our kids are...

Sonja and Kevin~our resident Mary and Joseph. Sonja is pregnant with their fourth (second son!) They are a wonderful family that we love and enjoy.

Our traditional Christmas jello! It really does taste good and is worth all of the work!!!

Christmas Eve

Yes it is Christmas eve 2008!
I wanted to post a few pic's so that you can see our snow! Because it is raining now! mmmmm

The snow was so high on the deck and it was amazing! As was the window in my bathroom a few days ago when we were getting blasted with snow!

Here is a picture of the house after a good snow this last week. We have had over 40 inches this last month! We are on target to set a record! The whole country is getting blasted!

Tinsel Town the holiday dance!

Here are some of the things that Susan
and I did for the decorations for Portage
Central High School's Winter dance.

Here is Cathy, David and Cara at our home. Cara had her group come to our home for pictures. It was crazy snow outside and it was so pretty.

This is Cathy and Susan at the box office! Susan's hubby made this for us. She was great to work with.

Just another cool shot of some of our decorations! Susan made the reel and film. She is good!
